Chapter 6 : A Fresh Beginning

"Is that made out of morph?" (customer)
"That's right" (yusuke / Zeshald)
"How much is it?" (customer)

The clothes tailored through Yusuke's customized ability was sold out, the clothes fabric was made from the fur of domestic animals reared in the village of Rufk.

Having secured a good stall location on the main street, as their lineup of clothes and shoes were of quality it cooked up quite a bargain, and thus were selling like hot cakes. Zeshald begin to teach the way of the merchant to Yusuke, as they were taking a rest while summarizing the sales proceeds.

"That's most of the stuff sold. After this let's go get the daily necessities and begin the preparation to go home."(Zeshald)
"Okay"(Yusuke)

While tidying up the unsold small items, Yusuke remembered the important secret story that was told to him last night. Zeshald who plans to infiltrate and spy on the true state affairs of the neighboring country Blue Garden whom had one way or another tried to provoke a war.

In the first place there wasn't a need to participate in this type of mission, one may well say that the active duty palace officials are busy with the government affairs, due to the hostile aggression in the vicinity of Blue Garden's border, highway blockades are being carried out causing an obstruction in the flow of manpower and goods which indirectly affects works/constructions as a form of counter measure to limit them.

Since a person with heavy allegiance would be informed of the enemies betrayer, to be send into the mouth of the tiger would be too dangerous, by going in as a traitor would be much feasible.

To a certain extend of strength and experience, Zerald still have influence and prestige among many within the palace, even though he had retired from political affairs, thus being the most qualified if one is to think in terms of time and talent.

Yesterday's turmoil, "Discord between the Former Imperial Divine Arts Instructor Zeshald and King Esvobus" that act may have made a good publicity through Blue Garden's spies, as Zeshald mention.

"Understand? Keep an eye out for items of quality that is very cheap, unless the items are sold out immediately take it and purchase , at least that way we won't need to make a 2nd round trip to the market to find it."(Zeshald)

"As I thought I would like a wooden scoop"(Yusuke)
(TL: Was wondering what the fuck was ボッタ botte until I found out that only the Italian word make sense)

Zeshald who was about the leave the country alone, wanted to entrust the Village of Rufk to Yusuke. And Sun's situation too. He wanted Yusuke to learn as quickly as possible about the knowledge of this world, and to apply the use of this knowledge and wisdom to his daily life.

"It's about lunch time"(Zeshald)
"Do you want to have lunch?"(Yusuke)

As we were mostly done with our shopping, we headed into the nearby eatery to have lunch. Although there were many street side food and drink stalls, Zeshald who wanted to teach various things to Yusuke decided to head into a regular shop.

The shops in the commoner districts isn't as expensive as those located in the middle class and noble districts. They usually have the kind of public cafeteria like atmosphere, while at night there are the taverns.

"This place doesn't seem to have much of a change."(Zeshald)
"Well, I am from the same type of human civilization. Even though it is a different world, there are many things that are similar."(Yusuke)

Zeshald begin teaching the origins of the structure of the rank systems in the city and how it's citizen are supported, little by little Yusuke begin to absorb the general knowledge of the world. The shop was packed with people as it was lunch time, within the hustle and bustle of the crowd, there was one person who was quietly peeking on the master and students table.

Afternoon ~~

We returned to the carriage began loading up the luggage while preparing for the trip back to the village. We will have to leave early tomorrow, that way we would be able to arrive in the evening. I had bought a few species of crops as I have a plan to cultivate them on a field in a corner of the village, thus I am eager to go back immediately and customize the soil which would be the location for the cultivation.

"Excuse me, have you seen Mr. Zeshald"(green hair guy)

While we were securing the luggage with ropes, a green hair man approach the carriage, as he spoke in a light-hearted voice.

"Yes? Indeed, my name is Zeshald"(Zeshald)

"Former .... Imperial Divine Arts Instructor, please come"(green hair guy)

To carry a hidden meaning within his words, Zeshald instantly looked at him in the eyes and astute. Yusuke had expression while Zeshald and the green hair young man was staring at each other. Although it seems that they weren't acquaintance, but it seems that the young man know things about Zeshald.

Yusuke felt insecure from the state of Zeshald who is having a standing off with the green hair young man, it this man the one from yesterday's talk "Blue garden's spy"? While Yusuke was thinking about it and before the expression of yesterday appeared, Zeshald called out to him.

"Yusuke, I am sorry but could you leave for a little bit please."(Zeshald)
"Eh? ok, yes"(Yusuke)

While Yusuke was leaving the carriage, Zeshald and the green hair man turn and walked towards the city's direction together. As they become aware that Yusuke wasn't in the area, the green hair guy of wind skill people used a wind skill which only the targeted person could hear and invited Zeshald.

"Do you have any feelings left before you leave this country?"(green hair guy)

As Zeshald predicted, yesterday's commotion had some effect on blue garden's decision to recruit the former Imperial Divine Arts Instructor.

After a few minutes have passed, Zeshald returned to the carriage alone and prepared to get in bed.

Curious about what had been spoken Yusuke came over and ask, Zeshald told many things in general to him and that he was still considering, and he urged Yusuke to rest his body in preparation for tomorrow.

"This might be a little early though."(Zeshald)
"It is still bright"(Yusuke)

Zeshald murmur to Yusuke to make sure that he knows the task that should be done, the truth is, that he was keeping something else from him.

The next morning, we begin to set off from the city just before dawn. Along the way, Zeshald kept to talking about things of this world. 

From the burdens of the soldiers who maintain security, to the area in which they are in charge of, how much authority are they allowed to exercise, how to deal and raise a case if trouble occur, and where to go to make an appeal, etc.

"Cultural exchange between the villages to learn from them is good, learning how to ride a horse is good, when you want to buy a horse head over to the city and -"(Zeshald)

The pace of teaching until now wasn't as comfortable, as if Zeshald was cramming all of the knowledge and forcing them down Yusuke's throat, although Yusuke felt uncomfortable, he knows that there must be some circumstances else Zeshald would not be so desperate as to force memorization.

"As I thought, it had to be something involving that green hair guy yesterday."(Yusuke)

And at that pace we arrived at the village, I(yusuke) was blasted with knowledge to make me dizzy.

"Welcome back, teacher.  ..... Yusuke-san, what happen to you?"(Sun)
"Argh .... my temple is pulsing"(Yusuke)
"hmmm, I think I have rushed too much"(Zeshald)

As Zerald's carriage entered the village of Rufk, the villagers all gathered to help unload the luggages. In the luggages were part of items that were entrusted to them for sales, the rest were daily necessities that had been requested to be bought.

"Teacher! Is there any shearing blades?"
"Love, it's in that luggage over there."(Zeshald)
"Is earring of shellfish being sold?"
"Unfortunately only one left unsold"(Zeshald)

Zeshald spend some time overlooking the clamorous and bustling villagers of Rufk, after which he switch to a much lighter tone to talk about tomorrow's weather.

"By the way, I will be going on a long journey from tomorrow onwards, and temporarily could not return to everyone, be it treating of injuries or illness."(Zeshald)

All the villager who heard about it had a surprised look simultaneously, up until now he had traveled out to distant lands for research, as there were times when he had left the house empty for a long time, thus everyone regained their composure immediately.

As the villagers exchange their goodbyes with Zeshald, Sun was the only one with a confused look, "I didn't heard about it". Yusuke was kind of expecting that to happen as he have be calmly observing the chain of events.

"Well than, let's return home."(Zeshald)
"Alright"(Yusuke)
"Yes..."(Sun)

The villagers also returned to their own houses. After they placed the carriage at the back of the house and the brought the horse to the stables, the three of them entered the house through the back door.

"Teacher, what kind of things will you be doing?"(Sun)

As soon as they entered the house, Sun pressed on Zeshald for answers. Up until now whenever Zeshald goes on a journey, he would informed Sun beforehand. But this time the sudden proclamation of a long journey without temporarily coming back was too much.

"I'm sorry, a little complicated situation have occurred."(Zeshald)
".... .... Is it difficult to speak of it?"(Sun)

As Zeshald did a refusal to talk nod, Sun hang her head down in silence. Zeshald begin grooming Sun's white hair through combing by gently brushing it, while Yusuke begin to talk about future plans.

"During my time of absence, it would be good if Yusuke continue to stay in this house. Sun could you continue to take care of his daily needs."(Zeshald)

"eh.... ... me and Mr. Yusuke?(Sun)

That is to say 2 people alone living under one roof, meaning to live together. Sun briefly glanced towards Yusuke line of sight, while Yusuke did not glance back he was listening attentively to what Zeshald had to say.

"I hoping to entrust this village and Sun matter to Yusuke. But, you still do not have enough knowledge about this world."(Zeshald)
"Well yea..."(Yusuke)

While Yusuke nodded, he realized that Zeshald's pointing out remarks was just to get a positive reply. That is to say that Zeshald had no doubt understand Yusuke's character.

With proper cognizance and sincere thoughtfulness, giving the required information and knowledge to Yusuke, the direction that is need to go is being pointed at. From today onwards, we must carry on without the support of Zeshald.

"Broaden your insights, Yusuke" (Zeshald)

Zeshald said as he gave a key to a study in the back of the house to Yusuke, he wanted Yusuke to read and gain knowledge from the books that are there.

During that evening, the three of them sat on the table, the meal prepared was a little more sumptuous than usual, as they were celebrating a farewell dinner and praying for the safety of the journey for Zeshald.

The Next Day ~~

The sky was still dark in the village of Rufk, as the villagers were all still sleeping, Zeshald got onto a carriage from Blue garden that was awaiting him on a road outside of the village. From here he will be leaving Fonclanc's territorial borders and entering Bull garden territories through the shortest route.

They boldly dive once into the city of  Sanc Adiet, as they transverse across the opposite side of the city towards the borders. The spy from Blue garden who is currently traveling with Zeshald, had to make sure that Zeshald would not hand him over to the city guards/soldiers.

For the past few years there was a secret investigation about the discord between King Esvobus and Zeshald, which investigation reported that the discord had intensified, thus the order to recruit Zeshald came from the motherland(Blue garden) 4 days ago. As it was a cautious period they had to ascertain the location of contact due to the day before yesterday's turmoil that happened.

As soon as they saw a good opportunity they came over with the invitation, and it was a great success. Although the relationship of Princess Violet and Zeshald was something to be worried about, but in the end this personal preference selfish princess isn't involved with the political affairs. And also Zeshald doesn't seem interested in her.

"It will take about 3 days before we cross the border and arrive at paula. Until than it would be cramped."(Blue garden spy)

"It doesn't matter, I am accustom to sleeping on a horse-drawn carriage. Nevermind that, what about those dangerous guys who were lurking around the village were they cleared out?"(Zeshald)

"That village is my oasis."was what Zeshald said, as he had pointed out the presences of those lurking around the village.

".... As expected of the Former Imperial Divine Arts Instructor, to be able to notice the presences of the 'Wind Troupe' "(Blue Garden Spy)

"'Wind Troupe'....here we called it 'Wind Corps', to have these elites entered so deep inside. This country is without a doubt losing it's grip.(Zeshald)

As Zeshald spew out a sigh of disappointment, the spy companion returns a grinning smile.

Morning came, by the time I awake from my sleep, Zeshald was already not in the house. From today onwards I have to think about what I need to do, and decides on what my next step should be. While I was looking at the key that was handed over to me through the list on the customization menu, in order to solve the immediate problem I opened my mouth.

"Good morning, Sun"(Yusuke)
".... Good morning*"(Sun)
*(TL: ございます gozaimasu = a more polite form)

Awkward greetings were being exchanged across the table in the hallway. As Sun whose was appearance was showing anxiety and restlessness, I switched my feelings,"It will do us no good if I do not make the first move". I put away the key into my pocket and stood up, Sun was startled as her shoulders trembled.

"Should we begin the preparation for breakfast?"(Yusuke)
"Eh? Oh, yes I'm sorry!"(Sun)

Sun who was rather flustered stood up and headed outside with a water bucket to get water from the well. Seeing what just happened I shrug my shoulders, I headed towards the food shelves to get the meat and lala fruits for breakfast. I opened the customization menu and brought up the sweetness status of the lala fruit.

"Hi, Sun. Good morning."(Bahana)
"Ah, Good morning... ...Aunt Bahana"(Sun)
"Are you preparing breakfast now? You could have gotten the him to fetch the water."(Bahana)

Bahana urged that the heavy lifting should be done by guys, Sun who couldn't speak to him about it shook her head. As Zeshald who was the relief agent wasn't around, it has been tense since the morning exchange of greetings.

"My poor child"(Bahana)
"Fue...."(Sun)

Bahana lamented about what just happened and was worried about the future, so decided to be strength for these 2 people in place of Zeshald.

As the morning mist of the commoner district in Sanc Adiet begin to clear up, in the dinning halls of Volance Palace atop the noble district, cutting apart the most delicious part of these honey flavored fruits from a dessert and placing it into her mouth, Violet who was alone, complained to the chief butler.

"Will Zeshald be coming to the palace today?"(Violet)

"There seem to be various circumstances"(Chief butler)

" This is so boring, when will father stop his discord with Zeshald. Wouldn't it be better if they could just quickly reconciled."(Violet)

(TL: I wanted to put this sentence instead, "This is so boring, when will father stop being a dick to Zeshald.")

Even though after a unexpected reunification at the commoner district there was no sign of Zeshald coming over, she was hoping to hear all his stories of journeys he had during this long period. The attendant Krielov was currently doing his usual commenting of fault finding on the princess, thus the princess finds him not interesting even if they stay together. 

"Let's see, wasn't there another interesting guy. I remember he was called Yusuke"(Violet)

That rude black hair guy who was Zeshald's acquaintance. Because he grew up in a distant foreign land, I might be able to hear some unusual and rare stories.

"I should sent my ninjas to the commoner district to find him, this maybe a good idea."(Violet)

"My dear princess, do you know the king has temporary ban the use of the ninja squad?"(Krielov)

"Don't worry, don't worry. I will just act like a spoil child and sent a message to him 'Father, have you come to hate me?'"(Violet)

The princess giggles and begins her sinister laughter, the chief butler sighed as he thought, 'The king also has his troubles'

A few days later, Blue Garden made an official announcement to every countries about a personnel.

--  Fonclanc's Former Imperial Divine Arts Instructor Mr Zeshald will be greeted as our country's Divine Arts Instructor to cultivate the elites of our country --
